NeuroFocus is a neuromarketing company backed by The Nielsen Company.
NeuroFocus hired Mike Smith as EVP of Business Development this year to serve as a seamless part of the marketing, sales and launch team. Smith penetrated accounts like Coca-Cola, agencies such as BBDO, McCann Erickson, and IPG holdings, and CPG firms like Kraft, Miller Beer, and Unilever to sell neuromarketing research.
Trade Shows
The global roll-out of NeuroFocus included major advertising and market research shows like: ARF and ANA in New York; Clio Awards in Miami (Smith negotiated sponsorship package, demo using neuroscience on award winners); Atlanta for AAF; Havas Media Summit in Madrid; Nielsen 360 meeting in Phoenix; and BASES marketing events in Chicago. This road show involved creating sales meetings and meeting clients with the CEO.
Washington Office
Smith was later asked to open a Washington, DC office for NeuroFocus to sell and promote testing of political messages, campaign ads, and polling data. Smith hired staff and attended the Democratic National Convention to generate new political interest.
Political meetings held with Joe Trippi, Frank Luntz, Mayor Gavin Newsom, Howard Dean, Rahm Emmanuel, and the Calif. Bar Association for state office candidates.
