Commerce Bank is one of the nation’s fastest growing financial services retailers with over 400 stores in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington metro area. MSBD has been engaged by Commerce Bank since 2005 to provide PR support for up to 200 store grand openings in the Washington Market. MSBD also facilitates access to Washington-based trade associations and non-profit organizations.
Public Relations
MSBD works closely with corporate communications at the bank’s headquarters in New Jersey as well as with regional executives to build visibility. MSBD has supported the opening of 20 stores in Washington, Maryland and Virginia with media placements. In mid-January 2007, Commerce opened five stores on one weekend alone. MSBD secured Newsweek Columnist Eleanor Clift to speak on the mid-term elections at the Finance & Administration Roundtable (FAR). This Commerce- Bank sponsored event drew over 150 people to a downtown bank location.
Sales Channels
MSBD has been instrumental in securing leads for new business and establishing sales channels within the multiple association management market, regional non-profits and area academic institutions. MSBD also created a column for the association community called "Ask the Banker", which appears bi-monthly in Association Trends. This connection expands Commerce Bank’s visibility within this influential business sector.
