Following the demand for secure online transactions, Payments Plus offered web-based payment options for online merchants and larger credit card processors. Payments Plus also provided the backend for large retailers such as Wal-Mart. With 24/7 transaction –based services, and offices in northern Virginia and India, the company had contracts with large retailers and banks prior to the onslaught of credit card processors. The company was acquired by Retail Decisions, Inc, headquartered in the UK. MSBD was engaged to provide public relations services.
